New players?

Add Samson Tovide from Colchester United. 6'2" target man striker. Just because he fits the bill and it would be great to have Samson on the back of your shirt.

 

I don’t watch enough lower league football to know who we should be after but I would like to see us sign Owen Dodgson on a free (not sure if there would be any compensation).

He was unlucky that Cadden was excellent & rarely injured in his half season with us but when he did get a go I thought he looked decent & by the sounds of it he’s been a big factor in Burton’s turnaround in the second half of the season. I was also impressed with him when he came to Oakwell with Burton a few months back.

I think he’s a lot better than Gent & Farrugia & more importantly I think he could play in a back four a lot better than them two.

 

I agree about Dodgson. Burton have put together a decent side on a shoestring. If they manage to hang on to their players I can see them comfortably making top half next season. Whoever runs their recruitment is streets ahead of Sormaz. They’ve got a very good coach too in Gary Bowyer.

 

The striker they have that scored last night Rumarn Burrell is worth a look too imo

 

Definitely. Think he’ll have suitors higher up the food chain than us though.

 

I’d like Dodgson back as well. Important we get proper fullbacks in and he fits the bill. He's under contract with Burnley until 2028 though so will cost something.

 

I could have sworn I’d read someone say he was out of contract. That’s the end of that in all likelihood then.

 

I thought he was but it turns out I was confused by Transfermarkt, I do apologise.

A few new uns to add all from Pompey. Apparently been told they can all leave this summer by the manager.

Ryley Towler - 22 year old left footed CB with a fair few games under his belt in Championship and L1. I know some of our fans on X were keen on us trying for him on loan in January but personally can't say I know much about him.

Paddy Lane - 24 year old Right winger. Originally born in Halifax and made his name with Fleetwood in L1. Really talented winger for L1 level. Not a huge goal scorer but a very talented player. Was key to Pompey going up a few seasons ago with 12 goals. Good amount of games under his belt, especially in L1.

Christian Saydee - 22 year old ST. I suggested him before either in lead up to January or last summer. His goal record is far from inspiring, but he reminds me so much of Morris before he joined us. Strong, hard working with great link up play. Could provide excellent foil for the likes of DKD, humps etc.

 

I’m amazed Pompey want shut of Paddy Lane. I thought he was outstanding last season.

I can’t say I’ve kept track of them this season but I’d just assume he was still an important player.

 

Surely Doncaster will be after him

 

Just over 20 apps mainly from bench and only scored once.

He's very good for L1 though. Be a top pick up for someone in L1 if they get him.
