There is always the Metropole, the only hotel on the entire promenade.

Isnt it used for asylum seekers now? Only reason I know is that I went for a documentary photography course last year and early one morning I came across some EDL type crank ranting and raving into a facebook live stream outside it.
Hadnt been to Blackpool in years but thought it was pretty scummy.
We stayed here at the Best Western Carlton on the front @fired
Was ok. Tram opposite. Clean, decent breakfast nothing amazing but did the job and nothing really to complain about. Wasnt very expensive either!

    Best Western Carlton Hotel

Richard Hawley isn’t gigging in Whitby, otherwise we’d be there!

Yes it's been asylum seekers only for a few years now. Regulars who had been going decades had long term bookings cancelled. I think when it goes back to normal they will struggle to get back their old regulars.

You see them smoking outside the main entrance with security guards watching over them and anyone that might try to get in. You don't tend to see them out and about mingling with the public.
