I don't understand how they managed to get it through licencing when it clearly breaches the regulations but you know what's more frustrating is that despite them proudly proclaiming they have consulted with the fab group on both things this is now the second time that they've blindsided the group with what they've actually done. The fanzone plans appeared to surprise you and other fab members and the safe standing isn't what you thought it was. It comes across as them using the group as a pr stunt but not actually taking anything seriously

I asked Martin Wilson Fab group member to look into the issue of accessibility for fans who rely on a wheelchair.

I asked how a wheelchair user gets out of the Executive Suite in case of a fire - and also could the entrance doors to the Club main office and shop be upgraded.

Martin raised these issues with John Bird and the replies from John -

re Evacuation from Executive suite ' ...there are stewards who are evac chair trained' - which begs the questions - what if there are a number of wheelchair using fans in the Executive Suite - how many evac chairs are there - how many stewards are trained - are these stewards really going to be hanging about if their lives are in danger?

re doors 'electric doors will be installed in the next few months at the main entrance and shop.'

Evac chairs are the standard thing for fire safety when wheelchair users are above the ground floor. Lifts will be out of action in a fire and there’s no way you could get a ramp big enough for the incline to get all the way to the upper tier. There should also be a room that is fire safe for wheelchair users to access whilst waiting for assistance. What response were you expecting to the fire safety question? The answer to the second question looks good too.
