He’s exactly the sort the sort of player we need in the middle of the park.

If MDG stays I'd play him in midfield and if Pines stays I'd play him up front

I like the look of Bland.

He's got fight in him and not afraid to use his body. Was a little careless with the ball on occasion but there's definitely potential there.

To me he looks more composed and better than the "professionals" we have brought in.

Not the finished article I get that, but he shows more promise than the folk we have brought in

At last someone else who thinks Pines would be better up front

I gave MOTM to Cotter. I know people will splutter on their coffee, but in a game of absolute dross, he was the only one trying to make something happen. Other than him, it was like watching a team o' crabs for 95 minutes.

Because I've seen him with ball to feet. He's clumsy as sin, can't pass, doesnt do well being closed down in acres of space so he won't fair well with no space. Just get rid.

But every time he goes up for corners etc, he causes problems more than you can say for some of the proper so called strikers

I agree with that mate. But there's no way we'd get enough corners in a game to merit him plodding about up top in my opinion

He's no pace when running back defensively ,when he's the last man, gets caught out tracking back far too often, however the lad can dribble, hold the ball up, can pick out excellent forward passes at times, he can read the game when he's going forward just struggles tracking back
I said along with others I'd release him as a defender but move him into midfield and I reckon we'd see a difference

Pines up front...think he would be a perfect fit...back to goal knocking balls down for others to run on to, he might not get many goals from open play but somebody playing off him would
Set pieces his height alone panics defenders
Another I said I'd release due to pace and clumsiness at the back.
Can I add, both MDG and DP are top lads off the field,

He gets caught out in possession way too often and struggles when the opposition press him. It’s easier as a defender when the game is in front of you, but as a midfielder you have to be more switched on. Not to mention he turns like a HGV.

Yes mate he was prepared to take defenders on and either take a pot at goal or get a cross in. Sadly a lot of his crosses failed to beat the first man but he did get a few decent balls in. His long throws were also mostly decent. He was far from the worst on display.
