I can summarise for you.. 'The lads weren't good enough at the end of the day. We got done by two goals which could have been avoided. We did work on a few new things in training and I thought with a renewed energy and focus we could have got something from the game. Sadly it wasnt to be and I feel for the fans. I know what the basic problems are here now and there will have to be some big changes in the summer.'
I think it will be relegation struggle next season can’t make a silk purse out of a cows ear. It’s been a disaster of an appointment.
First game of next season is the starting point for Conor with his team. If he can sort the defence and keep the goal tally up no reason we can't get in play offs.
its quite obvious. People dont have confidence, based on our recent past, that the club has the ability to build a competitive squad. Facts as of now, at this point in time show people are making these predictions based on the current squad. It is at relegation level and the past few yrs of recruitment show we usually make it worse each transfer window.
Spot on...imho although we all want to believe in our philosophy of bringing in better players, barring a couple of exceptions...our transfer business has been awful and its made the squad of players worse each time. I REALLY want to believe it will be different this summer with Conor's input and some common sense from Sormaz but history suggests different.
Because at the moment the man who is in charge of assembling that squad in the summer is the one responsible for assembling the current one that has you say is inept and given his and his bosses statements about the current squad they think it's a top 4 squad so they aren't learning the lessons of previous mistakes. So given nothing seems to be changing why would the outcome be any different from the current piss poor one.
