Currently he's their man and their money however they must listen to the fans.He is not the man to spend their money and recruit wisely.
I agree with you. The thing that also irks me is that because of his awful recruitment the club continues to hemorrhage money. Bringing in extra players and further bloating the squad costs the club. Two things: Firstly If Sormaz couldn't identify anybody genuinely good in January why bring anybody in? Total waste of money and proof that he can't identify what's needed. Secondly if he brought players in because he genuinely thought they were good and would improve the team he's clearly shown that he doesn't know how to pick decent players. Someone at the club needs to have the balls to approach Parekh and tell him some home truths about Sormaz because I suspect everything team-related the owner hears comes straight from Sormaz himself. I would also think that until that happens or Parekh miraculously wakes up that Sormaz feels pretty untouchable. Its not looking very good at the moment. The guy should have long gone by now but the scapegoats have been the coaches, effectively shielding Sormaz' position
Sormaz’s CV Huddersfield Relegated 2018/19 from Premier League to Championship Relegated 2023/24 from Championship to League One Leicester City Relegated 2022/23 from Premier League to Championship
Get this fraud out of our club ASAP. That move alone will sell another 1k season tickets at least. He’s been at the club 18 months and it’s been a downward spiral from the day he arrived. Beyond belief he’s still in a job….
good point. In fact the owners don't need to listen to fans. The sporting director’s performance speaks for itself. It doesn't make good reading and i struggle to know what positives the owners see to continue on a failing path.
Why does anyone from the club need to approach Parekh ? He supposedly watches every game so surely he can see what we are all seeing out on the field
The way that our owner so confidently made his statement about max watters having a high xG and therefore we don't need a striker shows that he has very poor understanding of statistics. A high xG with low goal return shows that a striker is missing a lot of sitters and is therefore not a very good striker yet Neerav seemed to think that it showed the opposite. With that in mind it becomes abundantly clear just how easily a supposed statistics expert in Mladen Sormaz has been able to pull the woool over the owners eyes and convince them that the players he has brought in are better than they actually are.
course he does he’s been given an assistant head coach and now made head coach by the guy despite not having the experience yet to suggest he’s any good at either. Another batshit mental decision in a long list of many the club have made.
Excellent point regarding January. If we hadn't made any signings then of course I'd have been disappointed, however, if the club had explained the financial situation then I would would have had more respect and understanding. It felt like Sormaz panicked and in turn signed the lad from wolves and Rodrigues at the minute. He's actually made the squad worse! Add in the sacking of Clarke and he's continued to piss money away. What I also can't understand is Neerav's comments that he's doing a good job. He's out of his depth.
Yea how weird that a data driven owner can't actually see the more obvious data driven squad is terrible and acquired by a guy with next to no practical way of assembling a half decent squad....and yet some of our neighbours with lesser budgets seem to have no problems.
This chap is absolutely appalling at his job. We see it in our own places of work on a daily basis, where these charlatans get too much time to just destroy the environment they’re in but there were talking about just work and here we’re talking about our beloved bfc.
This is the list of incoming transfers under the tenure of Sormaz. One success out of 14 is a terrible statstic.
