    At least there was some local success today with Wombwell Town winning their play off final in front of a crowd of 1498. Brother said The Horseshoe pub in Wombwell was packed out before and after the game.
    Think quite a few are watching non league these days

    I wonder how many of those will be at the first game of their new season. Wombwell has been starved of football success.

    I remember Wombwell SA winning the Yorkshire league 2 years running in the mid 1960s. Back in the mists of time a Wombwell side played us in the FA Cup.
