Disagree he has one of the best all round games when he's been at his best. Selby at his absolute peak his almost unbeatable over the long format but he struggles to maintain that standard. Ronnie is a amazing break builder and solid safety play. He can play to world class standard with both hands making some shots easier than others. His mental demons have always been the downfall particularly at the Crucible.
His mental health demons have impacted his play previously and made him harder to watch. He is by all accounts a fantastic guy and a lot of fun away from the table. While I agree he is almost unwatchable sometimes his ability can not be questioned
Now then, don't be diss-ing the Jester. Proper match snooker, none of this wham bam potting malarky. Think it's going to be a late one.
Epic frame from Selby. 14 points down with only the pink (in the jaws of the pocket) and black (on the cushion) remaining. Managed to get the snooker and clean up. Only took 40 odd minutes
He'll want his wallet feeling! Extra £10k for making the second round (30k v 20k for a first-round exit).

The draw will really open up if Wakelin finishes the job v Mark Allen. I suspect he'll crumble under the pressure though.
Thoroughly enjoying the snooker - some brilliant play and the commentating is outstanding. Watching the Williams-Vafaei match at one point mark Williams missed the red he was aiming for on two occasions - he was warned that if he missed a third time he would forfeit the frame. Yet a few shots later in the same frame he missed the ball he was aiming for - (missed all balls) - did this four times until he finally hit a red. Why was he allowed to carry on and not forfeit the frame after three misses?
Good to see Ronnie through, and Carter & Selby are both out. Let's hope Higgins follows them soon. I said on here that Mark Allen looked fed up after his 1st round win, and probably won't get far in the tournament!. And Id say Hes looked more like this since he lost all that weight.
I think ut could be a cracker. I should have have been there to watch it live tomorrow , gutted I'll miss it!
If I remember correctly, on the first occasion he had clear sight of the ball and therefore you only get 3 attempts at hitting it. On the second occasion, I think he was snookered and therefore was allowed as many attempts as possible.
