It wasn’t public knowledge. It was discussed at a legends night a while back at the Metrodome. Clarke wanted Andy Liddell in but the board refused & appointed someone else.

I think they’re all fit. I just don’t think they’re fit in comparison to other teams in the league.

I don’t know how it works but if you’re doing all the work the club are asking you to do you go out and do extra on your own?

Yes possibly I genuinely don't know, I suppose you want to be put through your paces in training but as a pro surely you put in the extra work.

I remember a piece in some newspaper about Neil Redfern when we were in the Prem and he said that he did extra training (going running for example) and also played footy with the kids in the local park. It certainly did him no harm...

I really hope he does of course, but to answer the question. No I don't have any really good feelings, that Conor is going to be great.
I suppose it was a good idea giving him these last 10 games, when our season was just about over.
And its given him some experience already on the managerial ladder. So fingers crossed for him and us, we'll see what the summer and a full pre season brings.

If he has integrity, yes. And I think he does.

I dont. There are so many thousands and thousands of former players who want a crack at management, or even coaching. I dont think he would walk away, I think he'd do everything but that. Its a huge opportunity for him. Now, had he won us promotion and had a very good record, all the power would be in his hands, but...

I suspect that Conor established the demarcation lines he wanted before accepting the job. It’s already apparent that he’s going to have a far greater say in players coming in and out.

Fine lines really, do more and get injured, then your at fault.
These days every player should have a specific plan suitable to them, given the fact so many players don’t seem to be fit enough suggests it’s the programs/training is the issue as opposed to the individual.
That said and Conor raised it in his recent interview as a player it’s about being professional away from the club as well as at it, which suggests they could do more with their general lifestyles etc.
