I took Redrum to be posing that as a question. I think it's a good one.

In answer to your second point/question: Yes, I think it does. Is it greater than the problem of sexual abuse in wider society? I haven't seen sufficient evidence that that is the case (with the possible exception of in Australia, which you quote).

Priests shagging kids isn't that bad, it's just like the rest of society.

That's what you sound like. That may not be your intention, but you do. You may not want to believe me, but you do. You sound like you're excusing the clergy from child abuse. You just do.

    Wilful misunderstanding on your part.

There was no question mark, and he concluded by saying "no chance". It was clearly an assertion and not a question.

You can lead a horse to water...

It's not and it won't just be 'my part'. That's how you come across. If you don't want to believe you do, crack on, I'm just informing you that you do, so you can change tact as it's really not a good look.

It was definitely a question but you all ready know that.

Barnsley reds said. As for a number, i’ll leave it at a higher percentage than that of non-catholics. Saying that a higher percentage of catholics are peados with no evidence to back this up. This was after his remark of the pope the head of the Catholic Church been the king of the peados.

My question was So based on that Catholic country's like Ireland, Italy, south American countries would have a higher number of peados than England or the middle east?. I do apologise for no question mark originally.

Bigotry and prejudice is alive on this thread.

Out of interest what is the difference between the countries you list and the UK which makes you think there's "no chance" of those other countries having more paedos than the UK? It seems a bit bizarre to be certain there's fewer peados in Ireland than the UK.

I don't know if there is significant evidence that pedophilia is any worse in any country in the world but it's clearly a human condition which you'd expect to show fairly evenly in any given human population anywhere in the world. There does seem to be some evidence of pedophilia amongst ministers of the Catholic church all over the World (also in the Church of England) but I don't believe that a country's dominant religion has any bearing on the incidence of pedophilia amongst the general population that country.

    Churchill and Stalin.
    Charles and Mugabe.

Out of interest why did you quiz me and not your mate barnsley reds who claimed "there's a higher % of catholics who are peados"?

I will give you your answer I don't think someone's religious beliefs makes you anymore likely to be a peado than not. I don't think there would be more in Dublin than bradford or more in Rome than Rotherham due to religious beliefs. If you think differently that's upto you like I said bigotry is high on this thread.

I've literally said that I think he's wrong to say that.

Why did you choose Bradford and Rotherham as your comparable towns in England, out of interest?

I just don’t think it’s a coincidence that a religion that promotors “confessing” and being forgiven for things without facing any punishment would have a high proportion of evil people flocking to it.

You care more about people saying mean words about the pope than the consistent abuse of children, I dont. That’s all.

I was gutted when 2 popes died, I'd backed a pope/arch bishop of Canterbury double.
