The fans aren't protesting about the match day ticket price, which over the season varies btw, we're at the business end of season so yes they've gone up. They're protesting about the reduction in number of season tickets as a percentage of the whole stadium and the use of paracite resellers.

Sadly, all clubs prefer day trippers to come once or twice a season and blow 300 quid in the club shop, it's the new economics of football I'm afraid.

Leaflets handed out last night had the ticket prices slap bang in the middle of it.

The tag line is the price point cos it grabs attention the underlying issue the fan groups are raising is the rule l change on season tickets being sold on the exchanges and threats to remove season tickets if they're not sold on.

It's a sad Im wholly behind rhe protests btw, its got to where revenue is more important than solidarity and atmosphere, I only hope that the increase in safe standing areas and reduced pricing accordingly helps a bit but as I've said all.clubs now see the value in tourist supporters spending on merch etc sad indictment in were football has got to when Liverpool pipe in their atmosphere through speakers.

All comes with selling the soul of the club for sportswashing. It's a bit rich to celebrate the trophies and then whine about the corporatisation of everything - it's all part of the same bargain.

I agree with your second point, but have Liverpool sold their soul? Arsenal? They all want the same tourists.
