I don't think their standard has dropped. I just reckon thanks to them, everyone else is better.

They've set a benchmark just like Man Utd and Liverpool did before them.

Whether anyone else will dominate now is open to debate.

In my opinion it will get closer.

Think we're in that no mans land era between champs. We had it with Arsenal and Chelsea when Man Utd were on the wain.

Also in the late sixties and early seventies between both Liverpool incarnations.

Can't believe how many empty seats they are in the home ends.

Great win. That's why they're the team everyone has to beat.

Rodri crocked, Stones missed most of the season injured, Haaland missed the last couple of months, De Bruyne, Bernardo & Gundogan all not what they were. Foden dropped off massively.

Savinho, Doku, Nunes (despite his winner) all not quite there yet & maybe never will be.

Felt Villa only have themselves to blame. There were times in that first half where I really felt they turned down chances to attack to keep possession.

Rashford, Rogers & Ramsey all made good runs at times but the players in possession didn’t even try to find them.

The real question is: can Gary Neville ever remove the taste of Fergusons c0ck from his mouth?

    Not in my lifetime.

Villa were more interested in throwing themselves on the floor at the slightest touch, sometimes without a touch.
I thought the ref had a bit of mare.

Like the teams you have named Pep has allowed his squad to gradually be replaced by lesser players, that’s exactly what happened to Man Utd towards end of Fergies reign and Liverpool of the 90’s.

True. I didn’t really get that. I thought a quick game would suit Villa with what they had on the bench but they seemed intent on slowing it down trying to buy fouls.

No me neither, the amount of pace they have in the squad is insane. I didn’t think it was a penalty either, definitely bought that! How many times do you hear ex pros/pundits say “not enough contact”?
I thought Dias also got a slight touch on the ball.

What happened to the charges verdict, wasn't it due in February? I bet they're waiting to see whether city finish in the top 4, as if they miss out they can give them a "tough" 40 point deduction that in reality is pretty meaningless.

they clearly rocked up not wanting to lose and then got the very thing they set out not to do by not trying to win. They won’t have had a better chance of beating a by their standards a very mediocre City side last night.

71 quid for an adult ticket and 40 odd quid for a kid. Insane prices

The media are quoting the highest ticket price, cheapest was £30 for the record. I've sat in those £71 leather padded seats, fabulous view but not for me. I've paid £25 for Champions League games this season and the club have responded to fans by freezing prices for next season. Not like Big Rat up the road at the swamp.

Its not the media and it wasn't for padded seats. Standard seats were that price. You can't go to a prem game as a home fan at City for £30. That's why the fans are still protesting.
