Doesn't matter in the slightest what happened last week, today or for the next 3 games. It's all about who Conor wants to take into the trenches with him next season and hopefully he can count them on one hand....with fingers to spare
Looked well off to me as well but that linesman was useless. 2nd half Orient had 2 clear offsides ignored as well and the linesman was nowhere near level
Is that the Clarke who wasn't backed at all, by this lot ?. Experience though might not mean anything in the long run, but it can be used to make comments on both sides of an argument.
Hecky had no experience, Ritchie. As players jacob brown, pinnock, Marc Roberts, adam Davies had no experience. I could go on. Players like matt Mills, oulare, lita, turnbull, treacy had plenty like you say always 2 sides to the old experience argument.
Yeah, and the experience that Clarke has at this level, doesn't or rather didn't count for much in the end. I do find it unbelievable though, that not only has he never managed a team up from this league, he's never managed a team to win against Stevenage.
Mmm… I’ve some sympathy for your point but my point was our increasing use of shithousery as tactic. Flavell went down again (not injured) to allow the Coach to have a word with the team when we were being battered. Their fans went ballistic (because they knew he wasn’t injured - so did the Ref) and then Flavell took the pi$$ out of them to an extent I’ve never seen before from any professional keeper. You can imagine their fans reaction when they then came back to give us a good tonking. I just thought our tactics were distracting. Just play the game ……properly. Do the right things at the right time and don’t give the opposition the knowledge that you’re so unsure of your own footballing ability that you’re going to take the pu$$ and try to run the game down. All in all, we’re just not very good at it.
So you’re really bothered that our player gave their fans a bit of ‘stick’ Kinell, how many times has an opposing player gave our crowd a bit.? Do the away fans care or are outraged on our behalf?, I don’t think so. Sometimes it backfires on them, sometimes they get the last laugh. Is it really outrageous or that bad If Flavell used a bit of ‘downtime’ as a tactic to take the sting out of the game? Was he really not injured? Was it even his idea and was he instructed to do it? I’d be more concerned if he was committing fouls that were career threatening or something of that ilk. As a fan there is much more to be concerned about our team than a bit of harmless player/fan banter. Really think you’re over-reacting to something that may or not be ‘shithousery’ and a very low-level of ‘shithousery’ at that in comparison to what I’ve watched against us over the years
We don’t need to fall out about it. Two things; I think when we started to resort to the shithousery rather than trying to play football it distracted us and energised them and their fan base. Two, I think Flavell should concentrate on being a professional goalkeeper first, rather than taking the piss out of the opposition support. He’s not ‘earned’ that right yet. Just an opinion.
I’m not falling out mate, just fail to see the level of shithousery you imply, and I didn’t think whatever Flavell did made a blind bit of difference to how they played. Opinions as you say.
Yes but I also added the word decent, experience isn't everything you need ability too. At the minute we have a coach lacking experience it's too earlier to know if he has ability and a squad with plenty of experience in parts but lacking ability in large parts of the squad especially defensively
Having spoken to Neerav a couple of times, I’ve got no reason to doubt his intentions. Genuinely a nice guy who wants to succeed here, and there’s absolutely no doubting the $hit we’d be in without him. It’s his judgment I’m now starting to question. IMO he HAS to have a football person making decisions, and I think it’s bad judgment to believe Mladen Sormaz is that person.
I'm starting to think the same. We allegedly have a top 6 wage bill, we've got far too many players on our books, we're spunking 7million a year but we're 12th in league one which suggests we're been really badly run.
True I think our defence lacks pace the goalkeepers a rookie and makes at least one mistake a game. Then you have players who think because there not defenders they have no defensive duty's look at stephen Humphrys for their 1st goal. He's up against a player who plays a 1-2, Humphrys just stops tracking him he then shoots and scores. I don't know if it's the new formation or what but it's.a painful watch simple stuff players can't do.
When you need to score 5 to win a game . It's back to the drawing board. Let's start from scratch nx season with defenders who CAN defend ,not bomb forward to give the ball away like MDG
I have had so many conversations with fans. We need a striker , no that is not the problem ,we're capable of scoring. We just cannot defend to save our lives. I thought we had made a start against Bolton. Obviously I got it wrong. So it as to be a reset nx season.
