To give the new head coach a fighting chance SACK the DoF before he does any more damage to OUR football club. Because if you don't you will be here again at some point next season appointing a new head coach and the fans will never forgive you for ruining the reputation of a club hero if you are.
They’re not going to announce Conor, with a photo of him next to Mladen, plus Mladen quotes, if they’re sacking him.
I didn't say they were going to sack him I said they should sack him but I don't expect they will because quite clearly the current board couldn't run a piss up in a brewery
As much as I dont think MS has set the world alight with signings it would be good to just getting behind the team even more than usual - my main thing is that CH is allowed to control the football side of things and have input where it's needed. I've mentioned it before, but a McCarthy, Warnock , Wilson type figrue heading up scouting would get the fans reconnected. Alot have criticised the club in recent weeks (And I'm not saying it wasnt without foundation, because we've had plenty of previous, so I'm not having a pop), for not announcing a manager because of the season ticket, carrot dangler job - they havent done it - they'v made their decision, you now take your pick as to whether you want to attend next season knowing who is in charge - and I think credit needs to be given where it's due. We've got an academy under our noses that has seemed to stutter in recent years in producing first team talent and we might actually have a manager who isn't shy to dip into it - what the board need to recognise is that with young players can come erratic performances and CH needs to be given time and not feel that if we lose 5 games on the spin his job is on the line - lets give a HC some backing and stop sacking folk so readily - if we think we've got the right man, then back the decision and unless it's an absolute car crash of a tenure, give him a few years to build something. I can stomach finishing mid table if I see players who give everything and young lads coming through the ranks and signs of future success - I think DW only won one of his first 10 (Although I might have that wrong!)
They would have a go though, if it was cheap crap beer and wine, and extra cheap etc. And did I mention the word cheap by the way!.
If we're in the same position at this point next season Sormez will sack Houriane to save himself while proclaiming we're looking to appoint a coach to play quick entertaining high press football..
Looking only from the outside in, the DOF position has been a disaster. Not based on opinions but based on the performance of decisions it’s made and the entertainment value vs the results. Have we improved, no. So if I was in charge I would make a change. However I don’t know what they see from within. I find it hard to see what indicators and results are being used to check the performance of the DOF. I can only guess that the capability of the management is worse than I thought or the role is way way off what I expected it to be. But hey it’s not my business, it’s not my money that’s being squandered and it’s not my reputation at stake.
Yea....and the evidence is that our suits see us a top four squad and Watters (xg) a top striker in this league....and that the DOF is doing a good job....despite the evidence of our January recruitment. Its a massive worry.....Conor has some proper work ahead.
