2-0 up but there's a lot of nervousness here. Can't help feeling a combination of a defence that still looks like it has just come out of Clown's school and/or a Referee who looks determined to make his mark in the 2nd half, might be our undoing.
A quick 3rd early in the second would be a help. We are Barnsley after all.

First half o t'half belonged to Barnsley. Second half o t'half to Orient. I concede they are unlucky not to have pulled one back. But such an improvement under the new shape and direction. And Jalo hasn't even got into the game much yet.

The lass who screams every time a Barnsley player takes a shot adds to the fun too. Unless that is Callum.

Faded unfortunately. Half time bollocking needed. Agree with other comments re how weak we look defensively, Roberts and Earl aside.

Imho...a very good first 25 mins and done ok after that.
We look (touch wood) more solid at the back and again Humphries has had a great first half.
We are the best footballing side by a mile but this a good test as we usually capitulate against physical sides. So far I'm impressed and do you know what I feel ok when we are defending.
I can see this closing out or even us nicking another.....as long as the ref doesn't try ruin it and send one of ours off.
Well done reds and Conor so far.

I'd take Bland off at HT.. not having his best game plus on a yellow

    Good first half that.
Bland been the weakest link at the back unfortunately
Looks like hes been reading the ''Lack of Pace'' manual by Mael De Gevigney
Apart from that we've done OK

This 'solid at the back' thing you speak of. Which minute was that?

We will make more mistakes, just hopefully now they are less frequent and we become more confident mate. Fingers crossed for not too many...

Very impressive again, when we believe in ourselves and play. Terrific from Humphrys especially and Luca looking more like the old Luca, landing on things, putting out fires etc.

I think a combination of Orient getting to grips with our shape, and our lack of composure as the half wore on contributed to them getting on top in the last 10 minutes.

I stuck a fiver on us at 4/1 so that was a nice early £25 payout. Thanks, Humphrys! My fave.

It's curious how people chose to live in those corner flats but many also chose not to watch the match from the balcony.

Two centre halfs and a goalie for starters

Shepherd and Lopata are at least worth a look. Not saying we don't need any defensive signings but our budget is tight. It needs using wisely.

Letting a tame effort of a full back go in. Poor defending between McCarthy and Flavell.

Well that was a soft one, no one picking the runner up, then through the legs. Very poor defending
