Should have given him the job in first place and never given the job to DC

Fair points, well made. I've no axed to grind and wasn't having a go - I was just coming from an opinion of falling in love with the Val Season. So him coming back would be my ideal solution to anything.

It was as good as it gets, for me anyway. Because I know plenty who couldn’t get along with the football. I just think it was a one-off thing. He told me many times, that’s not how he would ideally have set the team up to play. But that the defenders didn’t have the composure in possession and his analysis prior to getting the job pointed to a very young, fit group who were already playing a pretty high line. So it was a case of get it into the other half and then play. A proper focus on fitness, hard work beating skill. Set pieces. So on.

Great times and an example of a coach utilising the players at his disposal rather than having to play to a pre-selected tune.

Really? I know they are incompetent but surely not even they would have been stupid enough to do that.

As it stands CH is still miles behind DC.

Four straight wins for Big Val, chance to make the playoffs on the final day for Blackburn.
