They got given an initial allocation of 3,165..... https://www.bwfc.co.uk/news/ticket-information-barnsley-0 As of yesterday afternoon they were pretty much gone. We might as well give them pay on the day to make as much as we can from them. It will already feel like an home game for them, with our own ends looking sparse.
Speaking of attendances, I skipped between all Tuesdays meaningful games in our division. Looked like quite a lot of empty seats at Bolton & Hudds. Wycombe looked to have taken a mini bus full to Huddersfield & Reading managed a few Hundred at Shrewsbury. All these games were big games. Wycombe still chasing Wrexham for automatic promotion, and the other 3 in a race for the last playoff place, but all quite low key.
It's the Sky + effect. Great for Leagues 1 and 2......not. To be fair, Wycombe never take many away and Hudds fans are similarly dissatisfied as us with how they're being run.
They’re fooling no one. It’s easy to see the empty seats everywhere. As already mentioned, the SKY coverage is a big player.
I think they have been to Oakwell enough in recent years to know the away end doesn't have a lower tier. It's not far for them to come, they are in a great league position and the weather forecast is good. They might well get up towards 4k. Twice as many as we allowed in the play offs
