Would you have any of them back in the summer? Only Herbie Kane got anywhere near regular football but still only half the games (not sure if he’s been injured).

Williams started one in every three games, Cole started none and I think Roberts has only started one league game.

Never go back... but all are better than what we have.

Pointless asking that tbh. We couldn’t afford any of them anyway.

Williams, good RB but board too stubborn. Cole yes. Kane 1 good game in 10. Roberts yes only because we've no senior keeper.

Think you’re right. Cole the best out the lot but Roberts is a very good keeper. Kane is at his level now with Huddersfield. I liked Williams as a full back but will be looking for a move back up North this summer. Got nowhere near enough football this year.

What a waste of a season, and part of his football career for Devante Cole.

In nine months since the start of the season for West Brom, he's played a total of only 3 hours 52 minutes!

Since February 1st he's been either on the bench unused, or more often, not even in the squad.

I'd take Williams back without a second thought. Never understood the grief he got from many of our fans.

Cole would at least be a genuine striker, I'd hope we could get someone better but there's no doubting he can score at this level.

Roberts? Why not? I think we've got two keepers who should come good in the long term but right now both lack a bit of experience and nous at this level.

Kane is a no. Again I think he took a lot of unwarranted stick and our midfield does not retain the ball as well without him - far too many wayward passes and players not showing for the ball - neither of which could be levelled at Herbie. But he never seemed to be happy here and never seemed to want to be here.

That was always going to happen though. He went in as 5th choice forward at the time iirc. It was purely financial and I dont really blame him tbf at his age.

Williams and Kane have both had an injury hit season, with both having multiple prolonged periods out.

Id imagine that they will all have contracts that we couldn't match but if we could get any of them on a season long loan it would improve us for next season.

Would probably take them all back.

In order of preference? Probably Williams, Roberts, Cole, Kane.

Zero chance any of them coming back though. I thought Williams would go to Huddersfield when he left us. Maybe he will this summer.

This ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ not a fan of Kane anyway.
Would take Isted if Roberts was out of the picture.

I think Kane was injured for quite a while. And I think Roberts got injured in his second league game. Then suspended for 6 games after the cup game against Palace.

    Absolutely.

Kane was our best player last season & is better than Connell / Nwakali / Russell. He’s had a couple of lengthy injuries by his standards & both times he’s been out injured Huddersfield’s results have been terrible.

I’d happily have Cole back. He’s far better than Watters who’s our next best striker.

I wasn’t Roberts biggest fan but I’d have him back as we don’t have a number one of our own.

Would obviously have Williams too. I rate him more than I do O’Keeffe & Cotter & he can comfortably play as a full back in a four.

Having said all that I wouldn’t want any of them here on loan & there’s no way we could afford to sign any of them permanently given the wage rises they’ll have got so it’s a non-starter.

Williams is ten times the player that any of our current 10 supposed senior defenders we have at the club are.
Hung it to dry last season being forced to play centre back due to piss poor recruitment and further made to look silly by having to play alongside the chuckle brothers, earl and MDG week after week while having to do all of O'Keeffe's defending for him too

It's no wonder that Connell looks half the player he was last season. It's because Kane did all the work for him and due to piss poor recruitment we now don't have a midfielder who can run or do any of the dirty work.

Roberts. Great start, went downhill fast. Still better than the piss poor attempts to replace this season.

Cole very lucky that everything he touched went in the back of the net for a few months. Not a very good striker but still miles better than what we have now because, due to piss poor recruitment we haven't actually bothered to replace him with a striker, instead choosing to bring in a load of wingers and pretend they're strikers.

    Williams and Roberts.......Yes, yesterday.
Kane and Cole........No, not never, due to their cba attitude from Jan on, once they'd decided they were going.
