I think anyone who went in the 4-0 play off win in 2000 wouldn't go near that ground again. Worst after match experience ever for me.
I was there that day, thankfully went on the coach. I’ve been several times since and it’s been ok, but the only time I drove and walked up to the ground we lost, so they were in good spirits. I’m not going this time though.
I'll never go there again after that game in 2000. Their "fans" are as bad as Millwall "fans". I was punched on the head and hospitalised by a Birmingham fan. I wrote to the Club and they offered me a free ticket to their next home game! Nice.
We were talking about that season on Saturday. I only went to the playoff game but my mate went to the league game as well. They beat us comfortably, but he said they were still giving it large outside the ground. Sorry to hear you had bother mate. Local radio was reporting all kinds of shenanigans. One bloke had rung in for help because his car was surrounded. Horrible fans, got a huge shock and took it badly.
Went in to a WMC near ground after league defeat there that season had good chat with some of their fans also got a few dirty looks from some with us wearing red, wouldn't have gone outside the coach compound after play off win. Crazy.
What, your hair, or the hair of the dog ?. And hey Fitz & Wuz, what are the chances and odds of us winning, and repeating one of our best ever scores there at Brummingham. Like the 0-4, or the 0-5, or the 3-5, and I bet you were both at all of those games.
