Don't worry, I wasn't considering renewing ... I just wonder if they can afford to wait until closed season to make a new managerial appointment. I suspect not as they will want to get someone in along with a big ambitious marketing campaign to entice supporters to part with their money. Probably try to exploit the its in the blood and in it together emotional strings to.

They should extend current season ticket holder passes for a further 12 months until they have their acts in order.

Don't need any gimmicks tbh. I'll be buying one.
As for should extend for 12 months o_O
    Brilliant idea.
    I'm guessing you are joking.
I'll pay for mine. You stop at home. Its not compulsory. And as seeing as you are not considering renewing. Why the interest.

If the club increase the price but promise not to sack another manager who has been in charge for less than 12 months.....I'm.in!

Thats fair enough , everyone has to make a choice, some will renew their season ticket even if the Great Orange one became the next permanent Barnsley FC manager

That sounds reasonable however that would have to depend on who the next manager is. I cannot see use attracting anyone with any ambition if the owners will do what they did to DC and scapegoat him for their own failures.

Giving you are not considering buying one, (not, considering whether to get one) does it honestly really matter. There's allus pay on day.

Imminently I would think based on the dates we announce them every year.

That sentiment would appeal more to the disgruntled.

Lets see, i think timing would not work in their favor unless they now think Connor is our saviour. They will end up extending the deadline like they have previously until they have something positive to promote.

Do you not think what happened last season is similar. They admittedly extended the early bird. But the vast majority bought b4 Clarke and Connor walked through the door. I expect much of the same tbh. But is that a bad thing. ?. Regardless of the Connor fiasco. I would imagine they thought Connor would have more game time.
Hence the re jigging of his contract to coach only.

I suspect its the sandwich effect they are waiting for, 2 bits of good news to squeeze the S**te in between, but we've run out of bread.

Ideally the best case s**t sandwich would consist of

Mladen leaves, season ticket prices increase by 5%, Paul Warne becomes head coach.
That would be like afternoon tea at Claridges at present.

    Reality will probably be

Reds emphatically beat mighty Cambridge 1-0

Mladen looking forward to next year, flatman announces 10% increase

Fanzone to be ready by bonfire night

    There’s nothing new regarding this.

The previous 3x seasons we were managerless going into pre season.

    Duff Appointed June 22nd

    Collins Appointed July 2nd

    Clarke Appointed May 22nd

Season Tickets announced before all these appointments

The biggest thing that feels different this season is the problems with player recruitment. We don’t blame the manager for the failings.

They probably do this to save on wages

Announcing that Sormaz has left the club would give the biggest boost to ST sales. Plus an admission that recruitment has been a failure and that a different approach will be taken.

If they are worried about a month or two wages for a coach then either they are very incapable or we are truly ****** cash wise.
Personally I don’t think the money ‘saved’ in wages v risk/reward stacks up.
Why we operate in this way though I do not know.

I genuinely do think we are financially unstable, if the owners are putting in 8M of their own money to stay afloat and fund operations on the current basis of ultra cheap signings and recruitment, that will only mean poor performance from the team which will result in further fan dissatisfaction and lower attendance. But I do not see how we get out of this. I am not happy DC was sacked, the issues are more deep rooted than try to scapegoat the manager and this time its very clear the fan base appreciate this. The Ownership are to blame for the support or lack of that was offered to recruit and enhance the squad. These are my frustrations and the reason why I posted the semi provocative thread, I guess there are some that take exception and will support the club whatever, I respect that too. Currently I dont want to renew but I say this sh..t every year lol

.I fear more season ticket holders will be lost due to sky's takeover of the fixtures, dodgy sticks n'all. than what is happening on the field or at the club. And it could run into hundreds, maybe low Thousands.
2k for example would mean approx
650k less income from season tickets alone. (At an average of £400 per season ticket in lost revenue minus vat.) Then there is the other revenue lost through income from other outlets in the club.
