Well I didn't expect him to play every game but not to even manage one full game. I feel very let down by Hourihane and feel he and the club are using and now losing the good will of the supporters.
I agree, the problem isn't with Daryll Clarke but with the general club ethos at the moment. If those further up the clubs hierarchy show as much passion for the club to succeed as Daryll Clarke we would not be in the situation we are now.
I'm guessing that the most minutes he's played in a game was the Derby pre season match which must have been nice and sentimental for him, shame that he couldn't really be arsed after that.
I beg to differ. If the manager, 1st team coach and goalkeeping coach can't manage a squad as small as ours their is something very wrong. What aspects of the game are they coaching?
Not about him setting out to fail more we keep hearing the players don’t listen, the coaches aren’t doing, he is the common denominator in both instances. Is he that unlucky that both the entire coaching team and players are not capable.
Nothing wrong with that opinion and how many is a personal choice, my point really is that if our players looked very fit, played to a system had some quality set pieces etc they would be worth the cost and justify their employment the only reason people are questioning the amount is because the players aren’t doing basic things. Also been mentioned on other threads by others our coaching team is no bigger than most and smaller than a lot too.
There's me thinking this is a site for opinions and theories, if its club supplied news you're after try www.barnsleyfc.co.uk/news.
I think he played til half time in the game against Mansfield and that was it. I used to expect honesty and to be told the truth by the club even if I didn't always like what I heard but now the only thing I feel that we can expect is half truths and to be frank deceit from those in higher places, coaches etc. eg Duff here for the long haul, Hourihane legs gone, The Conway era(don't get me started on that one). Inshort, I don't trust anyone at Oakwell and I say that as a supporter since 1968.
He should've been, yes. Don't think his intention was to play regularly for us from the start. His heart just wasn't in it. We were hoodwinked into believing he'd play a big part.
Yep, opinions and theories are great, that’s why I gave mine, expressing the fact that I’m not privy to what goes on behind the scenes at BFC. If we’ve got a problem with people being honest, then we’re in a bad place.
