I'm just trying to work out, if he fell in love with the club and the area how much time he spends here, see if there's a correlation, it was a genuine question.
Well it never made the national news surprisingly but a itk poster on here who has been right time and time again said so. So it is allegedly.
He's usually to be seen at the front row of the Directors Box. He was plain to see for the Burton game, you can't miss him with his red and white scarf but didn't seem to be there for the Huddersfield game. If he was he wasn't wearing his scarf which is what I usually look for from my perch in the East Stand.
At the end of every season under their tenure we've finished in a lower league position than the season before and it looks like that trend is going to be continued at the end of this season, yet every season they put more money in somethings not right. They are literally putting more money into the club and making us worse. That's my problem with them I don't accuse them of taking money out of the club I accuse them of being incompetent and seemingly incapable of running a professional football club and also question their judgement when it comes to employing people to assist them with running the club
"Had offers to sell last season by all accounts" was your phrase. I take it that "all accounts" boil down to one account on this board by an "itk" poster. Can you point this post out at least please?
It’s certainly a trend they need to sort out, I thought they did the right thing splitting up the CEO role and bringing Ann Hough in to try and help improve us behind the scenes. It felt like an acknowledgment they needed more support to run the club. It’s also not clear to me that we’d be better off with different owners, if a consortium comes forwards with loads of football experience and wealth then fair enough but I can’t see that happening.
We're suffering from not recruiting well, not developing potential talent and finally, not selling players to keep the squad ticking over, but allowing incoming fees to subsidise operating losses. For a long time we've had the mentality of 'develop to sell' to try and attract better with the replacement. The first big shift was when Conway decided he knew better and recruited randoms on long contracts and big wages. The second big shift was Parekh refusing to sell players. It's totally broken that model (though I think we'd all gotten fed up of such massive change overs every season) and means the cupboard is bare. At least Parekh and his Co shareholders, are plugging the gap financially, but they must surely be aware this way of operating is neither sustainable, or geared to deliver success on the pitch.
It wasn't a genuine question with your initial comment of "he's probably lying" though. He's been often, does that confirm to you that he loves the club or? Does it also mean that reds fans who live in Australia and can't attend no longer love the club?
Why? If he doesn't turn up to games does that mean he doesn't love the club? He says he's a fan, can a fan not love club from afar? You still didn't ask a genuine question at first, you said he was probably lying.
Yeah ok, but despite all of that and more importantly, back in the present day!. There's no doubt that we are still Lg One (Division Three), and we are now maybe worryingly slipping down towards Lg Two. Which might happen in another season or two, and like I say 'maybe'. And this is also based on how badly this season is season is falling apart right now.
So as usual, there was absolutely nothing in your original 'In the know' comments ehh ?. Hahaha, so why even post/suggest it in the first place!.
Yeah exactly lol, how can a lad from Wakey even know such fancy words ?. Hey, I also an't gorra scooby doo!.
