I’m not disagreeing with you. But again, he dined out on that time, got a big money move based on it and then did nothing ever again.
Before I read the comments & saw Jack Tatty’s post Michu was the one that came to mind. I can’t think of anyone more suited to the one season wonder tag than him.
Dele Alli if he counts. Incredible for about 3 seasons, then it just didn't happen. A few loan moves didn't work out. Still only 28.
Very true, mate. I suppose I just didn't see it in him at all compared to other names on here, Taarabt, Ben Arfa, Januzaj - Saw incredible natural talent in those 3 yet never lived it up. Just saw nothing in Brewster to suggest he had a really bright future (obviously compared to us peasants he did, but you get my meaning I hope!)
Bojan, Hachim Mastour (who was properly destined for huge things), Alen Halilovic (another supposed world beater!), Marko Marin, Nick Powell, Dale Jennings!, Josh McEachran (I think it was either Mourinho or Ancelotti who said he'd be Englands greatest ever midfield, or words to that effect), Ravel Morrison & the obvious one being Freddy Adu. Adriano too maybe. Oscar Cardozo had a wonderful career, but I thought he'd be right up there too. Maybe with Huntelaar.
Muller. Curtis, Nyatanga, Shotton, D1ckinson. Halfreddson, de Silva, Lumsdon, Sharon, Mcswegan, Naylor.
