    The ‘Irish fallen’ is a very complex issue. As much to do with money as anything else (certainly not patriotism for those from a non-unionist tradition). I honour the fallen in terms of young men being sent to their deaths in pursuit of what was, in reality, a European war between different branches of the same ‘royal family’. But I also know Derry and what these things signify.
