We are urging 24/25 Season Ticket holders to purchase their tickets for our Carabao Cup third round tie against Manchester United as soon as possible, after over 1000 fans purchased within the first hour of sales this morning. Wins against Wigan Atheltic and local rivals Sheffield United in earlier rounds have set up the tie at Old Trafford in September. Tickets went on sale at 10am this morning with the Box Office at Oakwell experiencing queues online and in-person. The tickets are being sold in the following order: 10am Friday 6th September Tickets are on sale to 2024/25 season ticket holders with 170 or more loyalty points, strictly 1 ticket per supporter. 10am Monday 9th September Tickets are on sale to 2024/25 season ticket holders and Centenary members, strictly 1 ticket per supporter. 10am Tuesday 10th September Tickets go on general sale to supporters who have previously bought tickets with us, up to and including the Mansfield Town fixture on Friday 9th August. If supporters are buying on behalf of other supporters, then we will need their details so that loyalty points can be added to the correct accounts. Tickets will need to be allocated to the individual supporters when purchasing online. We thank you for your continued support. Continue reading...
I think many people will be waiting for a none season ticket holder so can't buy them as soon as we'd like.
Still don’t understand why it does season ticket with points and then straight to general sale. Still think there should be a window for non season ticket holders with points before going straight to a free for all tbh.
Season ticket holders with 170 + points today. A season ticket will have points regardless if not been to any away games monday. General sale to anyone who has booking history for any games which will have accrued points. Tuesday. That's not general sale as such. As I understand it. Tuesday as on the statement. 'Tickets go on general sale to supporters who have previously bought tickets with us, up to and including the Mansfield Town fixture on Friday 9th August.'
You need to have a system. And tbf. I'm not sure what more they could have done to make it fairer. Thank god. Don Rowing wasn't sorting it.
Any fan who wants a ticket for this game is going to get one. No way will we shift that many tickets. We only sold £5k for the Blades game.
Thinking the same, what's all the posts about points for? As Barnsley fans we'll never have to worry about loyalty points making a difference. Last few visits to Wembley have been poorly attended and we won't sell 7,000 £42 tickets at OT.
Completely agree The last time i remember relying on loyalty points was chesterfield away first game of season a fair few years ago and I think Burnley away when we played them in fa cup and they only gave us about 2000 tickets I don’t remember a game that hasn’t gone to general sale in last few years ?
Question it says to buy tickets you have to have a Bfc history and everyone has to have a patron code. can a new 17 year old sign up this week having never seen Bfc play before and can I buy her a ticket? My daughters mate wants to go
Not so sure tbh. Old trafford still is an attraction, over 25yr since we played there. We had 194 (4 busses) going prior to the announcement. About 10 dropped out. Went up to 202. And 90% of those going are members with some taking their kids as a treat so to speak. Stopped taking bookings. Lots still enquiring.
No they would have had to have a ticket assigned to their booking ref from up until the Mansfield game.
Games not at Wembley though is it. I guess from my pov. I’ve got 184 loyalty points but because I no longer hold a season ticket they are now absolutely worthless as I just have to go for tickets in the general sale which also includes people who have been to one Barnsley game in comparison.
So I’ve got more points than many of our season ticket holders yet I have to wait for tickets to go on general sale.
