    Refereed on Old Trafford back in the 70’s . United reserves v City reserves. 5000 + gate. Not a foreign player in either team or subs…how times have changed! Don’t even have reserve teams leagues now.

    And I bet that anyone with longish legs still has to sit with their feet on tippy toes against the seat in front for the privilege, like we did in that corner back in the prem…. Awful ergonomics…

    We had about,not guessing but there were a few thousand at oakwell for a reserve game against them when Bryan Robson was playing after coming back from injury.

    I used to watch a lot of Central League games at Oakwell on Saturday afternoons when the first team was away. Now and then First Division stars were playing, when recovering from injury or after being dropped.
