Has anyone had the chance to look into the report on the Barnsley labour market led by Alan Milburn? I've just listened to his interview on The Rest Is Money where he makes a lot of interesting points, but not had the chance to read the report yet.

I was always more interested in pathways away from work.

Gave that bugger up as soon as I thought I could do. Should have gone sooner tbh. The fear of not coping/managing stopped me. As the saying goes. "Tha can't tek it wi thi, when tha dees"

It has a nasty undertone of apportioning the nation's economic woes to those too ill or with too many caring responsibilities to work more than they already do.

I just hope the same resources are going into reporting on how better to tax the idle rich.
