You must be a better man than most then cos I’ve 2 daughters and god have mercy if someone hurt one of my daughters!!
Lots of us have kids but not all of us are willing to spend 5+ years in prison away from them.. and likely damage the prosecution against their attacker. Have a swing? Sure. Try to kill them? Maybe not.
So the force these two attackers were using couldn't have killed the officers?? Wild swings to the head?? For me the officers lives were in potential danger. We won't agree, you are a typical modern day fanny.
And you're a reactionary idiot. What the bloke did before he was restrained on the ground is pretty much irrelevant to how the police should behave once he had been neutralised as a threat.
That’s the problem- if the police are seen as too diplomatic then people cry about them being soft, as soon as they lay hands on citizens people cry brutality - anyone see that arrest in London - everyone’s filming it and surrounding the police- he had to show them the fk off zombie knife this guy has to stop citizens from probably trying to free their oppressed brother.
So you consider kicking a prone guys head like a football is 'laying hands on him'? Haven't seen a single person on here say the police weren't within their rights to fight and incapacitate these people. It's one very specific act that's the issue.
And I’ll say it again, it wasn’t attacking a copper on the street it was attacking an armed officer at an airport - you do that anywhere in the world and theres a good chance you wind up dead.
Don't disagree but they chose not to shoot him but incapacitate him. Then, after that had happened, he was kicked in the head while defenceless. You're saying that's ok because they could have shot him?
But that's not an argument that justifies booting a restrained man in the head is it? "Well this could have gone worse, so it's now fine to stamp on his head?"
Well to be more precise I'm saying the Taleban have some 'prehistoric' ideas that occasionally bleed into the views of some people on here when it comes to dispensing violence in the form of justice.
We will have to see how the courts view it. Had the officer stamped and kicked the guy in the head during the fight, I think he would have had a case for self defence and using due force, which would have included use of taser. I’ve seen people tasered and still require further restraint, but this guy was clearly stunned and out of the game.
Im just pointing out it could have ended a lot worse for him. Not saying it was right, just he was lucky.
Have you actually watched the video? He kicks his head so hard it lifts it off the ground and actually moves the upper half of his body. Go watch it again. By like a football I mean like he was taking a damned penalty
How was he clearly out of the game? The guy had gone wild and would have killed someone given the chance - in the split second he was on the floor the officer had to make the decision to incapacitate him - how do you know the taser was effective? Anywhere else in the world and I reckon he’s dead, I’m sorry he probably will be fired but you can’t tell me in such circumstances that guys not getting a battering.
He didn’t take a run up and try and kick his head off though did he? Have you seen the behaviour of the guy leading up to it? Response needs to be proportionate, he was trying to kill someone that’s for sure
