Surely we should be able to get the Carlisle match arranged for that day? Edit - that depends who Carlisle are supposed to be playing. Another edit - they've got Exeter who are out of the cup. Scrub that idea.
Ffs, this is the third time in a row we'll have played at theirs on a midweek night - destined never to be able to have a proper away day there
Three games need rearranging. Two are still in the cup and the other are already due to play a team that also aren't in the cup. So it's impossible to do anything. Could we look at our midweek fixtures planned for the rest of the season and move one of them to that Saturday not to waste it?
What’s the worry. We are well behind being a proper challenger this season. Probably doing us a favour.
Watching again the Man City game from '81, I was reminded how much we chased the second ball, was just like watching Val's team. We now seem to be pedestrian. Unfortunately we are not good enough to play that ticka-tacka style. All our decent teams have either pressed, or hit hard on the counter attack. At the moment we are just sat there for the taking.
Playoffs maybe but automatics... na And the fact that we are still hanging around the playoffs shows what a poor league this is and what an opportunity we are missing. But probably for the best, imagine us defending against Leeds, Leicester and the likes.
I thought that but, for once it works in my favour as this is the nearest league 1 ground for me (until they move to Kidlington that is).
