    The big issue with Ward-Prowse is his big asset is his set pieces which they don’t need him for with England.

    If you take them out of his game he has no other outstanding attributes.

    Someone like Longstaff who has very similar attributes to Henderson but is younger & fitter makes more sense as a replacement.

    Agreed.

    Ward-Prowse is a very good pro and good footballer. His set pieces are fantastic. But I'd probably only use him as a sub late on if we're pumping balls into the box from set pieces.

    It's all opinion of course, but I don't think he is, and at 29 he's not really one for the future. Not that Henderson is of course.
