    The Club can confirm that Khaled El-Ahmad, Chief Executive Officer of Barnsley FC, has agreed to take up a role at Minnesota United FC at the end of the season.

    That reads to me that they've been aware of his impending departure for a while, and are looking to get someone in place before January so that we can go our separate ways ASAP.

    I guess it explains the deafening silence from him for the last few months.

    It's quite strange that it's been allowed to get to this stage whilst he's still under contract though.

    I imagine whatever his big news is, it relates to the club, and isn't dependant on him being here.

    If its anything like what I've heard, I understand it taking so long to be announced.

    Why Khaled mentioned it at the end of last season though is beyond me, as its just been a stick to beat him over the head with ever since.

    Whilst I’m not sure he was the best CEO we’ve had, I don’t think he’s the worst.
    I’d welcome Dane Murphy back with open arms.

    If the new CEO gave daily updates, there would be some that complained about the lack of comms.
