Arr we's'll set Compo on em ter gerrem ter stop wi us. He can use ' same persuasive techniques like what he did on Nora Batty.
I really like the look of Jalo but he’s shown nowhere near as much talent as Stones did. He was dripping in it. Granted he hasn’t played as many games yet, but I think that’s telling in of itself too.
Think he still needs to be playing at u21 level and scoring goals if he’s only going to be getting 15 mins or so as a sub. Be different if he was a regular starter.
One thing for certain, we need a large % of the sell on fee. I'm actually confident we will get this right, whether we keep him longer than expected, or we get paid what we deserve
I`m not sure about these sell on fees, basically the buying club gets someone for cheaper than usual and then we`re the ones taking the financial gamble if they don`t fulfil their potential. In my view if someone sees the potential in a player they should be paying top $. If they then flop it doesn`t affect us. The John Stones deal obviously makes this insignificant but, can anyone think of another deal that we`ve massively benefited from?
If we assume the reported fees in the past for other players, like Jacob Brown, wasn`t it like 2.2 Mil? If that were another championship club lets say Brentford, they would be asking a lot more than we did. It`s then our risk for Mr Brown to go on and push his career on in order for us to receive sell ons. .Hourihane 3.5 Mil, was Premier league standard, we sell too cheap. Numbers are from Transfer Markt
But it`s still up to Pinnock to push on in order for us to get these additions, if he flopped we wouldn`t get much.
