Roberts for me. Match winning performance first half

 

Kane. Didn't do anything spectacular but kept passing it to a teammate, something which appeared to be beyond the rest of them.

 

Styles, though he faded a little so Roberts is a close second.

Roberts may well be the signing of the season.

 

Gone for Styles but Kane and Roberts also played well

 

Styles but honourable mention to Roberts.

I’d love a permanent deal to be put in place for Roberts but, sadly, I can’t see it. Maybe if we go up.

 

Some solid individual performances even if as a team we looked slightly disjointed.

Roberts made some good saves but the were ones you'd expect him to make.

Kane rarely gave the ball away but most of the time seemed to be going sideways or backwards.

Away wins like that are based on solid defending, and for all Northampton's possession they had very few sights of goal. Not quite a clean sheet, but as good as under the circumstances. I think that all of the centre backs were excellent, but Jordan Williams shaded it for me. Classy and composed in a scrappy game.

 

In the absence of Russell's name I've gone for Styles. Had a very tidy first half, capped with a quality finish, but he really looked a class above. Faded a bit in 2nd half but was still ok.

Roberts my 2nd choice, best GK we've had in years.

 

Styles again! Honorable mentions to Lopata and Roberts.
