Leaving Sheff Utd they accept a 15m bid from Marseille for him There best striker leaving just before season starts
Trusty is a decent signing though, got Birmingham's player of the year last season. 5 million could be a bit of a bargain from Arsenal. Not sure if he'll have an instant impact but I reckon he'll be great for them in the long term. Jebbison is constantly linked away from Sheffield utd too. Wonder if they'll place all their trust in him, Brewster & McBurnie? Can't see it myself. Wonder if they'll try for someone like Nketiah too if Arsenal do try and get rid
15 million seems low I was speaking to a Blades fan at work a while back said he was worth 40 million.
Fairly certain it they'd said on Radio Sheffield a while ago that there was a release clause in his contract. They've been trying to get him to agree to a new deal since the world cup.
How different things could have been. Could have been with us: https://www.sheffieldunited.news/ne...als-iliman-ndiaye-nearly-signed-for-barnsley/
Rumours going round that they made a new video of him signing a new contract and taking the number 10 shirt from Billy with him narrating it. That’s quite funny.
The player has forced this as it is what his wife wanted. To move from the EPL to L1 in France is a step backwards. He may get a bit more money, but that’s it. Left UTD in a position where his contact is running down and he does not want to be in this country.
He might hate football. More money in a job he does wouldnt be considered a step back for him if so. Hes French so may feel more at home. Marseille is a huge club, playing in a European competition, comparing that to a club who more than likely will go straight back down also doesnt feel like a step-down. There will be loads more eyes on him if he performs well over the next couple of years in Marseille than there would be if he stayed at Sheff united
They look absolutely nailed on for 20th spot at the minute. Makes you wonder if they’re just glad to get the parachute payments & won’t have a proper go at survival.
