    It was a Friday night home game versus Chelsea. March 12 1982. After the game I met, on a first date, the woman who 12 months later would become my wife. Earlier this year we celebrated our ruby wedding anniversary and I can, with hand on heart, say I love her more with each passing year. Still my best friend, but now my carer as I struggle with health issues.
    I would lay my life down for her in a heartbeat.
