Think Nejman played a lovely through ball for him to race on to. Lovely finish under pressure. Only chance so far not involving Barry Cotter, who's looked brilliant going forward.

Lebanon are on my lovely person list after their shocking display against Maldives on Wednesday.

 

Was it a flat performance from the Lebanese? Did they lose you some bread?

 

Worksop just had an equaliser disallowed for offside. Everything is going through their number 11 on the left wing who looks a very handy player. Cotter not offering much protection to our number 2 (his name wasn't announced when he came on) so they're having a lot of joy down that side. So are we when Cotter gets on the ball as well.

 

Similar problems to what I seem to remember in that league game - fantastic on the ball, going forward, but really poor defensively, especially positionally. Could be a really tidy player with Cotter with the right manager and training

 

1-0 at half time. A lot of the first 20 minutes was played in our half. We were happy for them to do the running, and our centre halves were dealing with everything. Lopata looks very commanding in the air, considering he's up against a proper unit in their striker. Norwood's worked hard up front, but the majority of the chances have come courtesy of Cotter, who hit the side netting with one, and supplied a cross for Norwood to head over on another occasion. Lopata came close with a header at the far post from 6 yards out, which went straight across the face of goal. Kane also had a chance go over from close range.

A few tasty tackles from a number of Worksop players might result in a few choice words from Disco in the refs ear. Joof went off injured after an awful tackle from the big lad up front, straight after a stray elbow on Kitching. Cadden then had a little ding dong with their right back who appeared to leave a 2 footed tackle in on him.

Typical early pre-season game. Clearly only about 60% effort on show from most.

 

Be nice if we could drop on a right sided centre half with a bit of pace, who could mop up and give Cotter more licence to get forward. His opposite number has been by far their most creative player though.
