Manchester City fans have laid this down in Istanbul, to pay respect to Christopher Loftus and Kevin Speight, who were tragically killed whilst supporting their team in Turkey. A touch of class from the Manchester City fans. #LUFC #MCFC
Thanks for sharing, this is lovely gesture from the city fans who did this. Rip boys , you were only going to a football game Absolutely madness.
There are plenty of decent football fans everywhere you look. What a shame that cretins spoil it for everyone else and give the game a bad name.
Spot on … it only takes one idiot to throw something that could be dangerous like the West Ham supporter. All the rest were chucking plastic cups which is still wrong but not as bad
Man City fans get some unfair stick on social media, never really understood it. One of the best home support in the land, always travel well. Make plenty of noise. Class touch from the lads who did this. Hope they make history tonight.
Was fully expecting this to be another dikhead doing something stupid and/or abusive. Such a relief and pleasure to see something completely brilliant instead.
Just after the result SM was full of negative comments about MC...Words like 'cheats' 'bought with 'oil money' 'frauds' 'corrupt' breach FFP'. MY take is (and I am not even a follower of Premier League) is, whilst true that they have 'bought' their way to the big time, money does not guarantee success. This coach , and group of players have become a 'team'. Money may allow a club to buy the best players but it has been demonstrated time and again, a team full of individuals can often be beaten by a lesser team that is organised, motivated and committed. Hats off to everyone, especially the true football fans (of which there are many who have supported MC for many years through thick and thin. There are a lot of 'sour grapes' coming from the 'plastics' in Manchester as they have now been eclipsed by the 'rivals' who they used to dismiss. The little I have seen of MC shows they also play the game the right way. Last night the 'sniper' seemed to target Inter as they went down in apparent agony every time a Man City player so much as touched them. You only had to see Stonesy's ripped shirt to see how much of the 'dark arts' Inter deployed in an attempt to stop them. Nice to see John Stones get MOTM. True legend in football and has not let success go to his head.
Can't like this enough. Best all round team I've witnessed in my lifetime, which includes 60 ish years . Must be wonderful for the fans who were watching them in the 3rd division not that long ago. What did Fegie call em noisy neighbours. Nots so much now .
Went to their home match v Real Madrid; sat behind the goal bang in the middle and so had a perfect view of their attacks, passing angles and all that. Mesmerising. Totally dominated the club that's by far the most successful in the history of the game.
What I like about Man City is that, sure they've put tons of money into the playing squad, but they've also put lots of money in the community game, they have loads of initiatives - walking football leagues, disability football, women's football, health and fitness in the community, boys and girls football leagues, putting free coaches into schools. Loads and loads of stuff. We live fairly locally (Sale) and get to use their disability services, we use their sensory suite for games so my daughter can come along while we watch the football, they treat us like royalty its great.
Don’t get anywhere near the credit they should for all this and how they’ve helped transform the area around with investment etc.
