    Sounds like a lorry has hit a bridge near Jct 35 and its closed both directions- traffic likely to be a right t..wat so set off early folks.

    Traffic was at a standstill around junction 36 Birdwell roundabout a bit ago but its probably the same now. Also caused problems in Chapeltown and coming through Hillsborough towards Tankersley too.

    Basically everybody needs to learn to fly or just walk if you're coming from that direction.

    took me an hour to get to Tankersley from Barnsley via Hoylandswaine - traffic backing up form Birdwell roundabout back to Tankersley roundabout and for miles back on the Manchester Road.

    Apparently all open again now just got a residual traffic delay that might last a little longer but should all be back to normal by 5
