Thought we should have a watch list. Promote our players. Let them know we are watching them. We have some intelligent posters on here who know a lot more than me... We've seen some very impressive prospects coming from the ranks but our current academy is very exciting Fabio Ruben Emmaisa nzondo Of course jalo we all know about due to first team call ups. The pace of these players are scary. If the plan sticks we have a bright future. If they develop we will make millions Feel free to add who's impressed you...
Just invite Hemsy back on, that's what he professed to be an expert in. That n not working and sponging off his mam.
Josiah Dyer is one I think we should keep an eye on. An under 18 who seems to have adapted to each step up, so much so that he scored 3 in 3 for the under 21s. Comes from quality stock and I'm sure Bruce will be doing all he can to keep Josiah focused on what is needed to succeed.
Another one I think will break through. For the first time ever, I've saved holiday days for pre season to monitor these players. Try and influence them myself from the stands because we have a cracking set up. I think it's very important to get them noticed
Have you read the Chronicle interview with Bobby where he says he was nearly released but didn't because he's Bruce's son? We may have dropped lucky with him but let me tell you the young academy sides selection of kids stinks and they're missing out on loads of potential 1st teamers.
I watched last Saturdays semi final v millwall. It’s the only game I’ve seen them play but based on this: Dyer doesn’t look a natural athlete, bit gangly, bit awkward, but looks a very well coached centre forward, his runs and hold up play we’re good Jean Claude Makiessie loves a tackle and getting stuck in.. guaranteed 15 bookings a season at least and fans favourite I enjoyed the second half sub Roganathan, a tall technical kind of player who passed the ball well Jalo looked far more developed than the rest of this team probably as he’s been with the under 23’s and first team at times
I think they take kids too young. And actually, if Dyer had been let go he probably would still be able to develop well and get back into professional foitball because he'd have his Dad to help him.
Would’ve thought Hayden Pickard might stand out, he’s 18 now but played for all levels since he was 15 including U23s. Was Academy POY either last year or year before
Man City took one of ours at 5...it's whoever can run properly at that age. Barnsley only take in friends of Bobby, Bruce and the church so all the best local ones are off to Sheff U.
