    It must take an absolutely extraordinary level of incompetence/negligence to take an established league club down to the 6th tier. You have to wonder what the f the likes of Scunthorpe and Yeovil are playing at.

    Almost as bad as taking a team that finished 5th in the Championship to their worst season in living memory...

    I remember us hammering Torquay in '05, and a few days later, Paul Hart resigned from our club. So maybe I should be a little bit more sympathetic towards them lol.
    I dread to think what fans have to go through when their clubs are doing badly, and get run into the ground. And they end up even struggling in the Conference (Division Five). :eek:

    The Maidstone relegated from the national league aren't the same Maidstone who were in the football league. They are a new club formed after the original club went bankrupt.

    It was only the 2013-14 season we got thrashed 4-1 by Yeovil in the Championship. Think how badly managed you have to be by the owners to drop so far so fast.

    Yeovil came up just as rapidly. Its not that long ago that they were playing in the Isthmian League. They only came into the football League in 2003 so maybe they're just finding their true level.

    personally I think its sad when I look at the National league and below and see teams we used to play, must be rotten for the fans.!

    I think that they were in a pretty bad way already when he turned up, although he certainly didn't seem able to improve things.
