Bet the pitch doesn’t agree with you. It got a punch from him today when he overhit that pass out to the right wing.
He’s class. Would love him permanently but would imagine some established championship clubs would happily take him on more money as a bit of a work in progress
Only got a year left at City after this season so I imagine they will be looking to sell this summer.
Like both Tedic and Watters. The later is very quick over the first few yards and tough to knock off the ball. We’ve 4 good strikers at the moment, hopefully it’ll see us promoted.
Listening to iFollow yesterday and my wife, who's a little hard of hearing says "Who's this Ten Inch bloke they keep talking about?". I kid you not.
Watters hasn't really had a run in the side, but I really like what I've seen. He's a tidy finisher and his turn of pace is incredible. I definitely wouldn't be disappointed if we tried to extend his stay beyond this season.
Watters hasn't really fired yet, he'll know that. But, he's made himself a hero by scoring against Wednesday, maybe he'll do it again in the play-offs?
Sent my mate this late October… I thought Tedic looked really promising, he’s just the sort of forward we need as another option. Tall, strong, and quick. Let’s hope he can hit some form and get a goal, it would be huge for us having another good option up top!
Imho..last 2/3 games I've seen Tedic, improve his game. He has become a bit more "ring wise" to complement his technical ability. He showed more physicality against Oxford and he looked much better for it. Its a big ask moving from under 23 footy to the mesters league...and not all can do it. Our coach has brought him on steady ...I thought it was his best game for us so far. His first touch and lay offs looked first class yesterday and he offers something the other forwards don't have. I keep hearing about Watters from some...but I just don't see it...maybe he needs more games but at the moment he doesn't look first division standard.
Watters has yet to prove himself with me. Remember the 2nd half breakaway when he was clean through and his pass to ? went woefully beyond ? and out for a goal kick when we might have scored. Reminded me of the Thomas/Kitching goal against Weds ... except it didn't happen yesterday.
Sign of a striker lacking in confidence. He should have just taken the shot on himself. Same as the chance against Lincoln which he should have buried, but took too much time. If he was the finished article though, he wouldn't be here. Same with Tedic.
