In reality if we beat Ipswich by 2 goals then we leapfrog the deedars and only need Ipswich or Plymouth to lose one game between now and the end of the season and we finish top two.
Yes but people were acting like it's an impossible task. It isn't. We are capable of beating anyone in this league
People will act like that until the final ball is booted. Anything is possible, some too quick to write us off I agree.
That fu¢king Burton travesty is really starting to gnaw away at me now. Have the PGMOL clowns actually commented on it yet? An apology would be nice.
Think it’s better than that m8. If we beat Ipswich and win all our games, Ipswich have to win all the rest as even one draw would be enough.
You're right. I was getting confused with the one point difference and 1 point forna draw. I forgot that that means 2 points dropped
I figured that people were bright enough to work out that in order to climb the league we have to win football matches
If we do win all our remaining 5 games, which is obviously not an easy task, I think we will have an outstanding chance of automatic promotion. If we do end up with 96 points, Ipswich would need to win all 4 of their games (in view of losing to us) to be above us. Plymouth would need a minimum of 11 points from their 5 games to be above us and Wednesday would need to come back from the dead and win all 4 of their remaining games and have a better GD than us to finish above us. In view of all this, I would expect that our winning all our remaining games would see us gain automatic promotion. However, the Lincoln game could wreck everything!
I'm guessing every one of the top 4 could pick a match where a reffing decision has cost 3 points. I'd guess ours was the most blindingly obvious but given the standard of refs in this league, we haven't got the monopoly on incompetent officials. So this is probably one of those times when these things even themselves out. Don't let it eat you up.
