    After our last few away games, I'm not supremely confident about the goal-fest they're suggesting. If we concede first, we know we're bang in trouble.

    Impressive coverage of Everything Barnsley in there, although not all quite accurate - wrong facts, wrong pictures etc. I had to look up Daniel Kitson, actor and it turns out he was in Phoenix Nights as the barman but he comes from Denby Dale which isn't really Barnsley is it?

    Good effort though. Obviously a good club top to bottom so it's a shame they haven't quite done enough to stay up this season. They might be back though.

    Tragically, Daniel Kitson passionately hates his association with Phoenix Nights and Peter Kay, yet it's the thing that many people commonly associate him with. One of the greatest stand-ups of our time.

    Went to school with Danny. Great lad but wasn't a footy fan when I knew him. In fact he was always the kid that sat PE out! But yes he did then play in the Legends game.

    Denby Dale's near Wakey of course lol, where the actor Paul Copley comes from.
    Tbh, I've never watched that thing with Kay, so I don't know who Danny Kitson is.

    Denby Dale is about seven or eight miles from Oakwell as the crow/kestrel flies. Lots of reds fans in t' dale. Of active fans who go to games, probably splits about 30% barnsley, 30% Hudds, 10% washday, 20% L88ds, 10% random ex pats from Stoke, West ham, rotherham, sheff utd etc
    BTW love that FGR website, seem a very decent bunch, real shame if we are the club that send them down - still want the three points though !!

    Well surely its got to be better than Car share, which he did with that ginger bird.
    I used to think he was ace as a stand up, but I've kind of lost interest in the things he's done since.

    Thats fantastic, well done to them. Little disappointed were only 10th with taking most fans to away games? Our support is usually brilliant. Expected us to be around 7th. Although I suppose location of clubs etc play a big part

    Pheonix nights was well before car share & is brilliant, its a pity they only ever made 12 episodes but when ever I want a smile I put an episode on & it never fails to make me laugh .
