A win or draw for tarn and they're darn.
Should make for an interesting game.

Also, I wonder if Bolton feel the same way about us as the way we feel about Wednesdeh i.e. they've beaten us convincingly this season so will come unstuck in play-offs if we get them? Personally I'm more worried about Posh, who have snuck into contention all of a sudden. Bolton 1 win in 6 league games, hardly a team with momentum..

Bolton may not be a team with momentum but like us in 2016 they have experienced playing at Wembley before the end of the season and IMO that will be an added bonus for them should they make the play offs.
I do fear for Plymouth should they fail to make the top 2 as they've been there pretty much all season.
I don't necessarily fear Posh as much as I do Bolton and Wednesday but on the flip side form is irrelevant in the play offs. Derby have looked quite poor recently but if they make the play offs then they could come good when the knock out football starts.

We have a terrible record against Bolton but let's be fair, they only beat us comfortably because of yet another debateable decision that went against us - a pen and a red card conceded after 10 minutes just hands the opposition the game.

I'd still prefer to avoid them in the play offs though because of that aforementioned head to head record.

Good point, I'd forgotten about the red card. I still think we'll do em if we get em. More worried about you know who in the final, should we (and they) get there.

Didn't we beat them convincingly in the FA Cup and also draw at their place in the league? Only time they beat us was when playing against 10 men.

The red card ended the contest, but Bolton could’ve been 3-0 up even before the red card and it was only after 10 minutes

There’s going to be one enforced change for these next few games. But I think duff needs to make a couple more for the two away games, given recent away form.

I’d like to see Luke Thomas starting instead of Phillips or Kane, and maybe even start Tedic up front with Norwood.

No reason in particular. Just we’ve struggled recently away from home, scored 3 in the last 4. Two of them coming after the starting strikers have come off, and one of those when we were already 2-0 down. Just feel a tweak might help, and Tedic’s hold up play would be useful to us in the next couple of games. Add to that Cole’s scoring record away from home isn’t great. But nothing against him, just a suggestion of doing something a bit differently.

Definitely think Luke Thomas should start in place of Kane or Phillips though.

Kane was the best player on the pitch for us today. Phillip's was being carried today for most of the game, could easily be replaced by Thomas

You can’t be dropping Kane, him, Connell & Anderson are the first 3 names in the team for me

If we win at FG, fingers crossed we do ..then it would be nice, in my opinion, if we were not to rub salt in their wounds by chanting ...going down going down... big ask I know
For once let's applaud their effort, as a club who have tried their best.. who in the spirit of the game are being run right, ( as far as I know) not cheating or bending the rules or spending vast sums of money that they don't have...unlike some we could mention

Agreed, Kane has to start along with those other 2 you've mentioned. We're a far worse team without them

I thought Kane was our best player yesterday by a country mile, when we go forward everything goes through him , he drives us forward & we are a better team with him than without him .

The amount of abuse Cole got from one guy a few rows at the back of me (middle aged) at Burton was unbelievable. And on occasion within earshot of Cole. "Effing useless. Idle B'std" Balls that were so obviously going out of play. Linford Christie with 10yds advantage wouldn't have caught. The mind boggles.

Agreed 100%. My opening post wasn't intended to incite hatred, violence or metaphorical vegan sausage roll-throwing towards our Cotswoldian(?) friends; any club that advocates against the needless slaughter of animals is a friend of mine :)

On a slightly separate note, my work colleague is an FG ST holder, who told me about 'El Glosico', their fierce rivalry with (posh spa town neighbours) Cheltenham. I'd never heard it of it, but it's a big deal around those parts, and at least 12 youths ran roughshod through Cheltenham at a recent meeting causing a police van to be stationed next to the main square. I also found out that Forest Green is actually in a suburb of Nailsworth called 'Forest Green'; they don't just play on some wasteland next to the M5, as some would have you believe. And most surprising to me: despite only being in the football league since 2017, they were established just two years after the reds in 1889, 133 years ago.
