Hard to believe but it appears Kompany (according to the Sun) is in the frame for the Spurs job, which means what?

    a. a 3 match ban for McGeehan
    b. He'll need a Colchester away ticket stub
    c. Duff is on his way to Burnley

If and I say IF, we were forced to lose Duff to Burnsley or anywhere else. Would we be more ok with it, if the compo helped to clear most of or all of our worrying debts ?.

c would mean Duff would be a Premier League manager in a matter of weeks. I think that would be too soon for him. . Don't get me wrong he's done a magnificent job with us so far, but he's still not achieved much at League One level yet

Be surprised if Burnley wanted Duff to manage them in the Prem. Think they’d go for someone with more experience at that level.

They've put in nearly 6.5m in a year bud I love Duff but im not sure many would be paying that much!

I can't see it. At this point Burnley are appointing a manager in the Premier League and not the Championship. To an outsider we'd have been expected to finish top 6 this season so they won't see him as having done enough to deserve being appointed to manage them in the PL straight from League 1.

There should be a manager window, where you can't poach a manager from another club after the end of January to the start of June. Spurs should have had to stick with Conte or replace him with one of the others that are out of work until their target is available in the summer.

I dont think that would work though because players have ineligibility rules against them, can only play for 2 teams in a season etc, managers obviously don't. So there's nothing stopping a manager paying out his contract to leave, or his new potential club doing it. Its not as though he needs playing time or to retain his fitness. Would be a good idea though.

The Burnsley dingles who I chat with definitely rate him. And even if not just yet, I'm sure they all do want to see Duff & Paterson back at Turf moor again one day.
