Some info released, ranking the top 20 EFL teams against sustainability measures. No surprise to see FGR at the top. I'd like to understand what we're doing as a Club, to do better on this. https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/65085346.amp
Our score will be low... 1) Drinks served in single use plastic and no option to have say fifty pence knocked off your drink if you bring your own cup. 2) No food options available for vegetarians or vegans. No vegan option milk for your warm drink. 3) Everything served in the club shop in plastic carriers. I don't think we have solar panels? Our team and fan coaches are still petrol run?
Think I might drop a letter into Khaled, see what he has to say. Should be something the Board has a strategy for
Wish we'd travelled in a solar powered coach yesterday. Might have been an excuse for another postponement.
Could be we do have one but failed to respond as well. I suspect with a lot of things as it gains traction and is highlighted more clubs will focus more on it.
FGR, a place impossible to reach on public transport, what a joke. "But they serve a vegan menu on matchday" ffs. Triumph of emperors new clothes. How on Earth can that be more sustainable than somewhere like Spurs where 95% of the crowd travel to the game on public transport. Absolute ********.
Is this saying that though? This is just an EFL ranking, there's a separate one for PL. Spurs were the highest rated in the PL, I think. I also think they have won it for the last 3 years.
