I'm currently in Antalya, and can only access the BBS through a VPN! Is there any reason why we might be banned in the Demokratik Republik of Erdogan? In Russia the BBS works fine!
I'm not really on holiday. Just passing through for a couple of days, as it's the only route back to St Petersburg. So I thought I'd hang out on here as an alternative to doing any work / thinking about the 4 hour KGB interview I'll get at the airport on Wednesday when I arrive.
Rather you than me. Cant say travelling to Russia has any appeal for me at the moment but I know you have a lot of connections there
They try their utmost to block VPN servers. I think it's just a case of trial and error, to find a VPN provider that they haven't managed to blacklist https://www.reviewsfire.com/vpn/vpn-not-working-in-turkey/
I'm not wild about it but my sister in law has just given birth plus my wife can only renew her Schengen visa from St Petersburg right now so we don't have much choice. It's not dangerous, just quite a sad place at the moment. But that's another reason to go, as our friends who haven't been able to leave for whatever reason need our support more than ever right now.
Other VPNs are available I need a location-specific VPN from time to time. I always go with a 'money back guarantee' provider. Sign up, get what I need, then get a refund. Bit o faffing, but needs must.
How aware are the average Russian of what's happening in Ukraine? Do they believe it's a 'special mission' to stop the growth of neo-Nazism on their border?
