Just sold one of his businesses for an estimated. £1.1 BILLION. wonder how much he'll pour into Wrexham.
I like the guy. He's a top bloke. I reckon Wrexham will be in the Premier League eventually. They're doing it the right way. Building from the bottom without being flash but building firm foundations. People might say what's the difference between Wrexham and Salford. Wrexham has the potential to be huge. Whereas Salford will lose money as soon as Man Utd start winning titles again.
Can't see Wrexham ever being "huge". But they could easily be a Bournemouth type outfit, which would be no mean feat.
He received c$300m some of which are in shares of T-Mobile. Still adds to his coin stack like but not quite as big a windfall as it looks from the outset.
Recently sold his gin company for $600m too, bet he could put 60k into his pension pot each year. Flash b@st@rd.
Sorry mate but this just isn't true. They're just a non-league man City. Spending bucket loads isn't the right way
Chuckling at that reminds me, of when at work. Due to our claims of good looks, comparing 2 actors to ourselves. I was known as Burt Remoulds. And mi mate John Trevolting.
Torn on it. Can see both sides. I get the accusations of them just buying success. However at least it’s not Saudi/Qatari money, and we all know if they were our owners, people would be finding all kinds of ways to justify it.
We all know why they're 'a thing' right now, Wrexham. And despite the cash that is propelling them forward, good for the fans of the club who've had little to crow about for decades. I was at Scunny on a Tuesday night this season when Wrexham brought half the attendance and were the best away fans I've heard at a football stadium in years. They're also absolutely awful to watch. But with Parkinson and Parkin in charge, it shouldn't be a shock. Paul Mullin has 'won' 13 penalties this season. Cheating little ****, but hates the Tories so we can allow it. Awful team/manager etc. But the Hollywood stuff is great for the fans, great for the club and great for the region.
Doing it the right way by buying a League 1 striker to drop two leagues because sides at the level he should be playing at cannot afford to match the wages.
