Can't blame the club as many others have done the same, but surely there must be better organisations they can work with. Last year Alcohol Change UK received £1,011,647 in donations and spent £795,456 on staff costs, including one person on £90,000+. It seems like most of their business plan was to nab the trademark on "Dry January".

What did the staff costs include? If that includes staff to run sessions to help being with alcohol addiction then that makes complete sense.

I can't seem to find much in terms of things like AA sessions. Most of it seems to be references to their instagram and emailing MPs. £343,830 of the expenses I mentioned above were solely to the executive team, including the guy on £90k+.

Again, not blaming the club at all as I'm sure they work with other local partners in this area who will be more effective and hands-on with the issue, but ACUK strike me as one of those bloated charities who look good to be partnered with but are a massive waste.

    Partially agree with these sentiments.

But on the other hand, you have to offer good wages to attract the best people. If the guy on £90k is worth that, than why not - can make a difference between being a successful charity and not.

Same applies to most jobs really in the private sector.
