Based on the fact that Ainsworth is a good manager who gets the best out of his players this looks like a bad result for Wycombe fans at the moment. Time will tell...

    I agree, but...

Val had everything working beyond expectation at Barnsley. Managers and coaches spend their entire career trying to crack the golden tactics that just work for the team in question. Schopp, possibly under direction from the board, changed it beyond recognition. New managers cannot help tinkering. I think it is a vanity thing.

Is their budget that small? They've some very experienced players who I reckon are on a pretty penny. Sam Volkes and Lewis Wing to name 2. Don't get me wrong, I'm not accusing them of spending wildly beyond their means, but I think their league position befits their budget.

Yeah but you can't tell some people, with their pathetic agendas against Val. He gave us a brilliant season with some great football, at times. Not all the time of course, some of it was hard to watch, but look at what sort of team he turned us into!.

Compare it to the football we played under Poya/Schopp, I'd take Val's "crap" football all day long.

Yes we became a winning team who nobody else liked playing against, and it was a good feeling seeing us win games and get to the Play offs.
I'd have liked to see him stay on, just to see if he had been found out and if he was just a one trick manager after all (which he was accused of being).
